Halleyah is hands down the best belly dance TEACHER available in the south east. I did not realize this until she became injured and couldn't teach for a couple of months. I began traveling around to other dance studios to keep up my practice, and expand my knowledge. I was disappointed in the other teachers I found. They did have information to share, some of them offered great workouts. I learned a little from all of them. But, none of them displayed the technique, confidence, depth of knowledge, or more importantly - the ability to teach me how to make my body do that, as my own treasured teacher, whom I only drove a few miles see. I also received quite a boost in my own confidence, as the other students would act as though I was too advanced for their class, pulling me aside to ask who I studied with, or if I was there to guest teach, or just blurting out "Who's the Belly Dancer?". While it has been a frustrating journey to find such a barren display of teachers available, I no longer take Halleyah's gift of teaching and talent for dance for granted, and I no longer worry that I can't dance.

I have been taking class with Halleyah since 2003 and have always been very happy with her teaching style and professionalism. The past couple of years I have had more opportunities to take classes and workshops with other teachers and find Halleyah to still be my favorite. She breaks moves down for everyone in the class to understand and makes sure everyone gets it before moving on. She wants everyone to succeed. I also have had a great time performing with her and being a student along side her in workshops we have attended together. I love participating in special events with her because she is so organized and motivated. No one would ever feel lost with her in their group! She is a knowledgeable and professional teacher and I look forward to more classes with her in the future.

I heard great things about Halleyah several years ago when I was looking for someone to take over the Belly Dance class at my studio. What interested me were the historical and geographical perspectives she brought to her students. I had worked with Belly Dancers at the Carnegie Hall International School in New York and also here in Atlanta but this was not your average Belly Dance class! Observation of her teaching methods confirmed she was the best possible choice. Her classes are technique-rich and well-organized but still oh so much fun! Our audiences rave about those who choose to perform in our events because of the rich, colorful costuming and stunning choreography. Personally, I don't think you have truly experienced Belly Dance until you have worked with Halleyah!
