Persian Court Dance

Learn the beauty and grace of the Safavid Persian Court! This workshop takes you through the well researched historical reproduction of the Safavid Court. Workshop includes costume information if desired. Bring your best flirty attitude! (2 hours dance ~ 1 hour costume)

Spanish Stylings

Spanish dance and belly dance share many common elements. Learn to add that Spanish flair to your dance. Explore the concept of duende' and add some sultry skirt work for that special touch. Skirt required. (2 hours)

Fancy Fans

Workshop will cover the use of fans in belly dance. Learn the different styles of fan work through combos in each style: Spanish, Chinese, and Fan veil. Basic fan technique will be covered, types of fans, pros and cons of several fans currently on the market. Fan required. (2 hours)

Ritual and Ceremonial Dance

In ancient times dance was used to convey spiritual and ideological purpose. We will investigate how to add purpose and ceremony to a modern secular performance. The etiquette of ceremony and ritual outside of religion will be addressed. Make a ceremony of your next performance! Celebrate your life, the day or the archetype dearest to your heart!
